I'm based in London and began taking photos during the Covid pandemic on a second-hand Canon 80D, with some fairly basic second-hand lenses. My enthusiasm for photography has been through highs and lows, with a roughly 2-year hiatus from 2022. During a trip to Switzerland in 2024, the bug bit me again - enough to make me upgrade to a Canon R8 in 2025. After that, I haven't looked back.
I typically take photos in my home city of London, as well as on holiday trips with my wife. This is a hobby rather than my day job, and part of the fun is trying to find the best photos I can without structuring my holidays around photography. It adds a level of challenge as I can't fully plan for the photos I take.
I typically enjoy taking a mix of landscape, street, and subject photographs, and try to focus on isolating subjects and capturing interesting light.
